My family and I stayed at Casa Lucia last October and we loved it. The views are absolutely incredible, from the house and from the beautiful pool. On a clear day we could see the towers of San Gimignano! The house itself is very comfortable- there are many windows and lots of light, the beds are new, there is plenty of space and the house is very clean. We spent a lot of time just lounging by the pool but it was easy to go into Florence by bus, and we drove to San Gimignano and Siena with no problems.
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, they gave us some great restaurant recommendations and were always happy to answer our questions. They make olive oil and wine right from their property, make sure to taste some. We highly recommend Casa Lucia, we dream about going back and staying again!

Our month stay at Fonte Vinaglia was PERFECT! The villa as well as the grounds are more beautiful than the web presented. The villa is spotless, and the grounds are too! Our host and hostess were lovely and we enjoyed becoming friends! We will return!

This holiday could not have been more perfect for our family. Nicoletta, the owner, did so much to make this holiday everything for the family. We rented the villa for our small wedding. We originally thought we would hold the wedding at the villa but go to a local restaurant for the dinner. We were fortunate to be able to travel to the area and see the property before everything was set in stone. I thought the property and layout was so much better than I thought it would be, we decided to do all at the villa. The owner, Nicoletta, did everything to make everyday very special. The wedding day was no exception. She set up the hair dresser, photographer, the caterer, flowers, and tended to everyones needs. Nicoletta helped with all the translation and set up daily typical Italian dinners for the rest of the evenings. The layout of the villa is WONDERFUL. Everyone had their own space and bathroom but the best part was the dinner at night. Each group whet their own way throughout the day, but came home to a prepared dinner where we could all share our stories of what we saw and what we did. The location of the villa was also perfect. In the mornings we would walk to the train station, about 1/2 a mile away. In the evenings we would go to Pistoia, about 8 miles away and catch a taxi home. The only complaint we had was the time flew by and we would have wished we rented it for 2 weeks instead of one. The entire experience was 100% better than we thought!

The property itself was great, we loved the beach and the sunsets. Early October there were few restaurants open, and only one where the staff spoke English and made us feel welcome. However we enjoyed exploring the adjacent towns and vineyards.

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at Villa Del Gallo Nero. The accomodations were very nice and very comfortable. The surrounding area was breathtaking. The nearby villages were small buy lovely. We especially enjoyed our conversations with Mrs. Bencini, whose family owns the vineyard. We would love to come back here.

This is a very authentic Tuscan Villa set on over an acre of land overlooking both Montalcino and the surrounding valley. The grounds are planted with multiple fruit trees and of course olive trees and some grape vines. The house was very well appointed and catered for our party of 7 adults very easily. We arrived in early October 2010 for a weeks stay to be greeted by Monica who showed us through the home.Our days were spent with a casual 5 minute walk into town to have our morning expresso, explore the tiny lane ways and local shops and of course drink lots of Brunello wine. The villa and grounds are lovely and private with great views. Owner very sweet and eager to please in spite of language barrier. For 3 couples we each had our own floor which afforded a lot of privacy but the house easily accomodates more. The outside kitchen is a great gathering space and fully equipped for cooking at home. We loved it. It is about a 15 min drive to Cortona. Shirley-Cape Cod

This property is one of two stylish barn conversions next to the owners house. It is simply but comfortably furnished for six people (except there was only seating in the lounge area for four). The building is cut into the hillside with the bedrooms downstairs. This no doubt keeps them nice and cool in summer, but when we were there they suffered from damp despite central heating. Castelnuovo has all amenities and is very central for the Garfanana region, but bear in mind the property is a quarter of a mile up a steep and narrow poorly surfaced lane, but by the same token has spectacular views of the mountaneous countryside around. We particularly liked the roofed terrace area at the rear of the property for sunbathing and al fresco meals. The log fire came in useful on cool October nights and Paulo kindly supplied logs for us.

"The castle was absolutely amazing. They have a bus stop out the front which will take you to Florence for 10 euro return in 50 mins. The dinner was fabulous, cooked by Fabio, it was personal, delicious and something to remember. The staff there are very friendly helpful and relaxed. The pool is lovely and as we stayed in the Cardinals rooms, our rooms were palatial"

We were very happy with the villa. Located close to the coop in town where you can find everything you need. The fireplace was amazing and we had the use of both the BBQ and authentic pizza oven (wood was provided)There is a very friendly dog "Molly" which you will either love or hate. She is always happy to see you and greats you every morning, however she barks at the deer and rabits all night long. We got use to it after awhile though. The only critisim I can come up with is there was abosulty no dish soap, laundry detergent, of even salt & pepper we had to supply literaly every expendable. I wonder were the stuff we left behind went?
