We loved Al Mennucci! Perfect location, gorgeous view, wonderful setting...best vacation ever! Just be aware the road is a bit tough to navigate up to the house, but if you can rough it up, it is worth it!
We just returned from a week at Lavacchio...what an amazing property! The villa itself is exactly as photographed. The owners have done a superb job furnishing every room. We were 9 adults and 3 children and were more than comfortable in the space without booking the additional two rooms. The location just outside of Montalcino is spectacular. We enjoyed many of the local restaurants, as well as two cooked meals on property prepared by the lovely groundskeeper. The villa is equipped with Wifi and has three dining tables...kitchen, dining room and a lovely covered area off of the kitchen. The pool was great...seems to have some sort of leak and chairs could stand to be updated, but that would be my only criticism. I searched for months to find a villa and I can honestly say this one is close to perfect!
Cette villa est pratiquement parfaite sauf pour deux choses. D'abord il n'y a pas de BBQ ce qui ne permet pas de cuisiner à l'extérieur, ce qui est fort dommage considérant la beauté des lieux extérieurs. Secondo, chaque matin ou le jardinier venait faire l'entretien, il manquait d'eau pour au moins 2 salles de bains à l'intérieur. Pour le reste, nous recommandons cette villa car nous y avons passés une merveilleuse semaine et nous serions prêt à y retourner à la première occasion.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] This villa is almost perfect except for two things. First there is no BBQ so it is not possible to cook outside, which is a shame considering the beautiful outdoor venues. Second, every morning the gardener came to water the plants, the water lacked in at least two bathrooms inside. For the rest, we recommend this villa because we spent a wonderful week and we would be ready to return at the first opportunity.
We recently enjoyed a week long stay in the Borgo Tollena villa apartment Rosa Di Sera. The location is superb, setting magnificent and grounds/pool area nicely thought out. There are lots of areas to sit quietly and relax, with excellent outdoor dining areas. The apartment itself is tastefully furnished with very comfortable beds. One slight improvement would have been a chest of drawers in the bedroom, we only had a wardrobe to place our clothes. We arrived very late and would reaaly have appreciated a small welcome pack, for eg bread and bottled water as all supermarkets were closed, which meant we had to wait until the next morning to stock up! A minor suggestion, however it would definitely make a big difference upon arrival. Would however recommend the Villa to friends and family and would like one day to return.
What a glorious retreat. The hosts were warm and welcoming and were happy to help if we had any requests. The pool area was stunning. Gorgeous gardens, beautifully clean and the pool was just the right temperature. The apartment was clean and had everything you needed. The only slight comment is that the walls are thin, so if you may hear the people next to you, but it certainly didn't detract from the size, style and overall contentment with the property. We'd love to go back!
Location is great, view from the house is fantastic and location is very good for all Tuscany connections, house is spacious and very nicely decorated and clean. Pool is large and nice. Small minuses are lack of water on some days and very poor internet connection. Overall very positive.
We loved staying at Fattoria Armena. The place was an oasis to relax, yet close to all the wineries and hill cities so we could easily explore. The hosts, Stefania and Alessandro were the great and made our stay unique. There was great service and food, along with many laughs as we discussed the days adventures. The rooms were very large and nicely furnished. Pool and views were amazing too. We will come back - Tom, Patsy, Don, Carmen, Brad, Sara
We had a lovely stay at Il Frantoio Delle Grazie. Our apartment was very clean and had lots of old world charm. The grounds were beautiful and we made ample use of the outdoor patio area and grill. Although this didn't bother us, we could hear the train pass by. It wasn't loud but we were aware of it. Also, the 900 meter walk to the bus stop and train station felt longer, perhaps because the walk along road just outside the gates is extremely narrow and we were nervous about cars coming around the corner and not seeing us.
The place is lovely and pool great. The best part is Laura the owner who is terrific. They have a winery and we loved the wine. It's a bit difficult to get to but worth it. Barbara Snell FL
