The villa was lovely but had a few drawbacks like the broken glass in the lawn next to the eating area; the whirlpool did not work and the neighbors two dogs barked from 4am onwards. The staff were nice and helpful and one can drive to some amazing locations nearby.
We very much enjoyed our stay. It is a wonderful location close to both Pienza and San Quirico by car. There is a beautiful view from the pool and we were in swimming a lot to cool off (it was very hot during our stay). Grocery shopping is best in San Quirico at the Co-op. Friendly and very helpful owner. The apartment was spacious with good sized bedrooms and well-equipped kitchen.
Villa Il Nido, is the peferct base to explore North Tuscany. The owners make you feel very welcome. The garden is well kept and the house was spotlessly clean. However the furniture has seen better days, but is comfortable enough. The property could benefit from mosquito nets and air con, but don't let this put you off as it is a lovely spacious house.
The Villa is situated at the top of a hill and has excellent views across Castelnuovo.
It is a 10-15 minute walk to the local shops,bar and resturants.
There are many small and picturesque villages to explore and because its off the beaten track , prices are very reasonable.eg 6 euro for a pizza , 2 euro for coffee and cake.
The train station is 5 mins drive and has direct links to Lucca and Pisa and one change to get to Florence.
All in all a lovely place to stay... we will be returning.
Very nice appartment, clean and in tuscan styl. Super view from our veranda and from the pool. Very friendly and helpfull host. Own wine on the location.
Lovely villa with gorgeous view of Montepulciano. Fantastic, spacious garden. Peaceful and private yet walking distance into Montepulciano. Absolutely loved this place.
The ambience of this medieval castle was amazing. It surpassed our expectations. Our only disappointment was that there were no screens on any of our three bedroom windows, which allowed bats to enter our rooms. We had to keep the windows closed, which was not good on hot nights. Otherwise, we loved our stay. What a great villa.

Really nice owners on site. They speak English very well and they were very helpful. Nice and very clean unit! The problem is that it was a lot further from sea and from stores then what we read. Also no air conditioning and that could be a problem
