Had a wonderful week at this villa. Everything about the property is first class. Our host met us at the villa to give us the keys & explain all the features. This is a gated villa. The views are incredible as the villa is up high on a hill. You can see Cortona from the villa. All of the decorations were beautiful. The bathroom/showers were very clean & really nice. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of room everywhere to relax. The kitchen has all the things you need to cook with. There is a washing machine also. We sat by the pool in the sun. Very relaxing too. There are 2 TV’s and 2 areas with sofas to hang out in. The entire property is pretty spectacular.
my friend and i really enjoyed our stay here. It was close to Florence and other places we wished to visit while we were in Tuscany. Everyone from the owner to the staff were pleasant and helpful. The views were spectacular across the valley and loved the fact it was an authentic villa with good beds and furnishings. the Italian breakfasts presented by Annetta were wonderful.
while the location of this apartment is excellent, it is located in a building that houses almost exclusively students at a local college. Thus it is VERY noisy until 2/3am many nights.
it is spare but clean - no toaster/ no microwave.
biggest problem was the inability to connect to the internet the entire 5 days we were there. the front desk staff tried to assist, but no success.
Beautiful Estate, wonderful accommodations (bring your own toilet paper, soap, shampoo though). Highly recommend this property, would definitely go again and again.
The villa is beautiful and with a view of the sea and access to the water which is wonderful. The outdoor patio and furniture is very lovely. The house is nicely appointed and very regal looking, except for the kitchen. The attention to detail in the main rooms and bedrooms is great, but the kitchen is a mish-mosh of things. Probably 20 cooking pots and kettles, but only 7 mixed sized drinking glasses or wine glasses. 4 colanders/strainers, about 8 various coffee pots/presses. Just an odd assortment. It just doesn’t match with the care of the rest of the house. You need a car or taxi to anything... nothing is within walking distance other than one restaurant which closed in September. While listed on VRBO/HomeAway as a 5BR/4BA with the price, upon arrival I was told it’s a 4/3 unless I wanted to pay extra for the annex BR/Ba (was told it was in the fine print but I didn’t see that). Marianna, the caretaker, was wonderful but a communication breakdown occurred with Vivian (leasing agent) over breakfast that she had agreed to provide (at a fee) and the number of bedrooms in original price. Overall the peacefulness of the location won out and we had a lovely time.
