Villa Agresto was absolutely perfect! It exceeded all our expectations in every possible way. The fact that is was on the Ricasoli property in the middle of all the vineyards made us feel as though we were part of the family. The views were breath-taking in every direction, and it was incredible seeing Siena in the distance on clear days. It was the perfect spot for day trips to Siena, Florence, Giaole in Chianti, San Gimignano, and Arezzo. Coming back to the pool every afternoon was a perfect way to end the day. Having the chef cook a meal at the villa is an absolute must, and you should also visit his restaurant on the property. The cafe is a great place to grab a quick bite, a cup of coffee, or a beer. The tour of the property and the winery was also a highlight. The villa itself is spotless and very roomy. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were spacious, the kitchen had everything you could need, and the stocked wine cooler was great. Our hosts were welcoming, gracious, and responsive, and we found ourselves making frequent visits to the wine shop for tastings, shopping, and restocking our supply for the villa. This was the vacation of a lifetime, and we will always have great memories of it. We hope to return, and thanks to everyone involved.
Lovely house, well equipped. Very comfortable beds. Limited bathrooms with only one full shower which can be challenging with 7 people
The property is accessed via an unmade road the surface was very stony and uneven.
Lucignano is a delightful hill top town a 10 minute walk from the villa.
We would definitely return especially if the bathrooms were upgraded

one criticism is no mention of good local shopping and markets. Apart from that, I couldn't recommend this house more highly, and the proximity to Florence is such a bonus.
Wir waren Ende Juni mit 8 Personen in La Castagnara. Es hat uns ausgezeichnet gefallen: Das Haus bietet viel Platz, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, das Grundstück lädt zum Verweilen am Pool oder auf einem der schönen Sitzplätze ein, die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit und diskret - jeder zusätzliche Wunsch oder Frage wurde sofort beantwortet. Einmal durften wir die Kochkünste von Paola genießen. Der Ausblick und die Ruhe sind phänomenal. Gerne kommen wir wieder einmal.
We have just returned from a spending a marvelous week in the villa Auralia. What a beautiful Villa, set in the most glorious grounds. The villa is fully equipped with everything you would need. The swimming pool is large and extremely well maintained, as are the Villa and grounds. The owners of the villa were very welcoming and supportive I would highly recommend this Villa to anybody looking for a luxurious and relaxing holiday.
