We stayed in Terrazza which as the name suggests has a wonderful elevated terrace looking out of the private gardens and tuscan country side. The property itself is very good. The features of the property are the outside gardens and pool with are fantastic. Riccardo is a warm and gracious host.
We thoroughly enjoyed the property, with it's spectacular views and spacious bedrooms. It's quiet and very peaceful. Very good value for money. Walking distance to San Gimignano which was great, as parking is not easy. Great location for other trips to Tuscan towns (Florence, Siena, Volterra). The property needs a view more supplies with respect to crockery, glassware and general supplies (toilet paper, dish/dishwasher soap, salt, pepper, olive oil (basic kitchen requirements, etc.).
Wir haben 20 Jahre Erfahrung mit der Anmietung grosser Ferienunterkünfte in Italien. Die Villa Sant`Angelo war qualitativ mit Abstand die beste Unterkunft obwohl wir weitaus teurere Unterkünfte gemietet hatten.
Wir können die Villa Sant`Angelo absolut empfehlen. Insbesondere für grössere Gruppen die gerne zusammen Urlaub machen aber dennoch jeder die Möglichkeit des Rückzugs hat. Auch die Agentur war im Vorfeld sehr professionell und hat stets sofort auf Fragen reagiert. perfekt und eine sehr positive Erfahrung!
Die Villa Sant`Angelo ist ausgesprochen sauber und sehr gepflegt. Sowohl die Häuser als auch die Gartenanlage. Perfekt!
Wunderschönes, grosses sonniges Grundstück, mit grossen Wiesen, Wald, See zum Angeln und ein Tennisplatz & Wellnessbereich in Laufweite.
Roberta und Stefano sind absolut tolle Gastgeber! Sie sind ausgesprochen freundlich, herzlich und bemüht. Sie sind da wenn man sie braucht aber in keinster weise aufdringlich. Sie versorgten uns mit Infos über die Region und halfen uns beim Einkauf bester Lebensmittel und Zutaten. So kamen wir an absolut gutes Fleisch für Bistecca ala Fiorentina (für den tollen Grill),schönste Steinpilze und an absolut tollen Pizzateig inkl Schulung!
Roberta und Stefano sind wirklich sehr sehr gastfreundlich und herzlich. Wenn man ihr Gästebuch liesst bestätigen dies sämtöliche Eintragungen aus aller Welt (Indien, USA, Südafrika etc.) Wir haben die beiden in unser herz geschlossen!
Die Unterkunft war besser als wir sie uns vorgestellt und erwartet hatten. Also in Realität schöner als die Bilder.
Insbesondere die Ausstattung der Küchen war hervorragend. Es mangelte an nichts!
Der grosse Pizzaofen und der grosse Grill ein echtes Highlight!
Pool: Absolut super und verhältnismässig gross.
Schlafzimmer: Alles bestens! Schön, gut ausgestattet.
Bäder: Alles bestens! Schön, gut ausgestattet, sauber und im verhältnis zu den Schlafzimmer genügend Bäder. Die Lage der Villa Sant`Angelo ist sehr günstig, denn von hier aus kann man viele interessante Ausflüge unternehmen ohne erst lange kurvenreiche Strassen zu fahren bevor man auf eine Haupstrasse trifft. Sehr angenehm! Somit sind die Einkaufmöglichkeiten (Supermarkt und Markt, kleine Geschäfte) auch schnell zu erreichen. Einziges Manko: man hört die Strasse immer ein bißchen rauschen, das fanden wir aber nicht weiter schlimm.
Wir haben uns aus den Winetasting Angeboten das weingut Campo del Monte ausgesucht, was am nächsten dran war. Stefano Mantellini (Inhaber) hat sich eine unglaubliche Mühe gegeben und seine Weinberge, Reebsorten etc. zu zeigen. da gerade Weinleese war konnten wir sehen, wie die Trauben verarbeitet werden. Das weingut besticht nicht durch Schönheit aber Stefano gibt sich unglaubliche Mühe alles zu erklären. Wir haben dort auch Wein gekauft und gemütlich in der Villa Sant`Angelo getrunken. In der Nähe des Weinguts ist eine Osteria wo wir auf Empfehlung von Stefano eingekehrt sind. Da gab es weltbestes Eis! leider habe ich den namen vergessen... Einfach Stefano fragen!
Roberta und Stefano (von Villa St Angelo) haben uns mehrere Restaurants empfohlen: Eins in Soci und eins oben in Poppi -> Vecchia Cantina. Wir fanden das in Soci wesentlich besser.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We have 20 years of experience in renting large holiday homes in Italy. The Villa Sant'Angelo was qualitatively by far the best accommodation we had rented although the other accommodations were much more expensive.
We absolutely recommend the Villa Sant'Angelo, especially for larger groups who like taking a trip together but everyone has a chance of retreat. The Agency was also very professional and has always responded immediately to questions. A perfect and very positive experience!
The Villa Sant'Angelo is extremely clean and well maintained. Both the houses and the gardens. Perfect!
Wonderful, large sunny land, and with large meadows, woods, a lake for fishing and a tennis court and a spa within walking distance.
Roberta and Stefano are absolutely great hosts! They are very friendly, warm and eager to help. They are always there when you need them, but not intrusive in any way. They provided us with information about the area and helped us to purchase the best food and ingredients. So we got an absolutely good meat for Bistecca alla Fiorentina (for the great barbecue), beautiful mushrooms and absolutely great pizza dough including training!
Roberta and Stefano are really very welcoming and friendly as confirmed by their guest-book with entries from around the world (India, USA, South Africa, etc.).
The accommodation was better than we had imagined and expected, in reality more beautiful than on the pictures.
In particular, the kitchen was outstanding. It lacked nothing! The large pizza oven and the large grill are to be highlighted!
Pool was absolutely superb and relatively large.
Bedrooms and bathrooms: All the best! Nice, well equipped, clean and in relationship to the bedrooms enough bathrooms.
The location of Villa Sant'Angelo is very favorable, because from here you can organize many interesting excursions without having to drive long winding roads before reaching a main road. Very pleasant! Therefore also the shopping facilities (market and supermarket, small shops) are at an easy distance. The only drawback: you can hear the street always rushing a bit, which we found not so bad.
From the wineries proposed we have chosen the one called "Campo del Monte", which is the closest to the property. Stefano Mantellini (the owner) has made an incredible effort and showed his vineyards, the grapes, etc. At that moment there was the grape harvest, so we could also see how the grapes are processed. The winery does not boast of beauty but Stefano made incredible efforts to explain everything. We bought some wine and drank it comfortably at Villa Sant'Angelo. Near the winery is a tavern where we got following the recommendation of Stefano. There you can have the best ice cream of the world! Unfortunately I forgot the name ... Just ask Stefano!
Roberta and Stefano (of Villa St Angelo) have recommended several restaurants: one is in Soci and one uphill in Poppi "Vecchia Cantina". We found the one in Soci much better.
Great value for money. Fabulous central location. Off the main roads so very quiet and peaceful. Just a 5 minute walk from the tower and other attractions - very convenient!
The apartment is as described on the website and the courtyard is lovely. We ate out so didn't use the facilities but everything we would need was provided if we did chose to eat in. Both bedrooms large and airy. Bathroom on the small side but perfect for our needs.
We met the owners on arrival- very friendly and helpful. They even left us two bottles of home made wine which tasted great!
The open top bus is a must to get your bearings.
We found this property to be clean, well located, fairly priced and secure. At first, the neighborhood is a little off-putting, but once there, you become more comfortable. It seems quite safe to walk most hours of the day or night and is very quiet at night. We found the keyholder to be excellent, very friendly and quite helpful in locating places to eat, where to shop for groceries, etc. The apartment is on the ground floor with a basement bedroom available if more than two folks are in the party. However, there are few windows and those that are available are small and let in little natural light. For the two of us, it was just fine and we would go back again on another visit. The restaurants in the area (within 50 meters) are excellent and inexpensive with great wine. Also, the Taxi stand is only a block away so you can easily obtain a safe (?) ride to where you need to go.
