It is a little hard to find at first, but the location of the apartment is simply awesome! I'd strongly recommend taking a cab over trying to find your way (at least your first time to the city) by public transportation. Even at that, our cab driver got us close (you can't drive on most streets in the Gothic Quarter) and pointed us in the right direction. Yet even if a bit tricky to find at first, you simply want to be in the middle of Gothic Quarter, right where this apartment is. The apartment itself was really nice. We didn't stay there much, as we were doing stuff all the time and rested very little. But it was comfortable, easy to get to the metro, and simply great to just wander around that neighborhood. I'd highly recommend this apartment!

A spotlees, well-equipped and ideally located apartment in the centre of old Sorrento. Quiet, yet centrally positioned and close to shops, bars and restaurants (in fact there is a small supermarket and greengrocers just below the apartment). The owners were lovely, welcoming and helpful. All in all an excellent base from which to explore the area.

Attention pour l'accueil : il n'y avait personne et nous avons du nous débrouiller seul (personne de l'agence et pas de propriétaires. Personne n'arépondu à mes appels téléphoniques.

Per quanto il tempo non sia stato dei migliori abbiamo trascorso la vacanza che desideravamo. Posto sicuramente molto bello in estate, fresco, stretto tra le montagne e il fiume, dove è possibile fare il bagno, passando addirittura attraverso un tunnel scavato nella roccia, che ti porta dall'interno del mulino sino a una conca con acqua bellissima. Il mulino è molto grande (3 piani + una taverna) e arredato con stile rustico e di gusto (non a caso l’attuale padrone è un architetto); noi eravamo tre famiglie e siamo stati comodissimi. Le 5 bambine le abbiamo sistemate all'ultimo piano (una specie di loft con una bella vetrata vista fiume) e praticamente non le abbiamo mai sentite; avevano un tavolo per giocare e fare i compiti, la loro bella televisione, il loro bagno e i loro letti. Noi adulti siamo stati quasi sempre davanti ai camini (uno per piano) oppure nella grande cucina al piano terra, dove c'è un tavolo molto grande (ci abbiamo mangiato più che comodi in 12) e un grande forno da pizze dove abbiamo anche cotto la carne (comodissimo). Sarà che la compagnia ormai è più che collaudata (sarà da 15 anni che trascorriamo una buona parte delle vacanze così tutti insieme), ma la scelta è stata sicuramente felice, anche perché i dintorni sono tutti molto interessanti e volendo si mangia molto bene quasi ovunque. L'ultimo dell'anno siamo addirittura riusciti a ballare insieme alle nostre bimbe tutti insieme nella taverna (molto suggestiva). Per concludere il padrone di casa è stato gentilissimo (all'arrivo ci ha fatto trovare vino e salsicce provenienti dalla macelleria del padre) e si è preoccupato molto che stessimo comodi e non avessimo problemi; era sempre a disposizione.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Although the weather was not the best we spent the holiday we wanted. The property is certainly very nice in the summer, fresh, squeezed between the mountains and the river, where you can swim, even passing through a tunnel in the rock, which takes you from inside the mill to a valley with beautiful water. The mill is very big (3 floors plus a basement) and furnished with style and taste (in fact the current owner is an architect), we were three families and we were comfortable. Our five girls slept on the top floor (a sort of loft with a beautiful river view window), they had a table to play or do homework, their beautiful television, their bathroom and their place to read. As adults we were almost always in front of the fireplace (one per floor) or in the large kitchen on the ground floor, where there is a very large table (we ate there more than comfortable in 12) and a large oven for baking pizzas and meat (very comfortable). Our company is speding many holidays together since 15 years, but the choice of this house was definitely a good one, because the surroundings are all very interesting and if you want you can eat very well almost everywhere. On New Years Eve we even managed to dance together with the little girls all together in the basement (very impressive). Finally the landlord was very kind (upon arrival we did find wine and sausages from his father who is a butcher) and he was very concerned that we were comfortable and we had no problems, he was always available.Conseilleriez-vous ce logement à un ami? Casa Lina is a nice property in a small village that is not at all touristy. The furnishings and decorations are comfortable but rather formal. The steps to the second floor are very steep so be warned if you have small children or weak knees! It took a few days to warm the property up (mid-winter, especially the large lounge room. A drying rack for clothes would have been very useful.

the apartment was very nice, everything working, beautiful view on the valley. we spent a very good time there!
